Domes & Spheres

Another specialty item of SCI is the fabrication of composite spheres and domes. With all tooling and mold work accomplished in-house, SCI has designed and built unique turning machines to fabricate nearly any size sphere or dome section. All of these can be finished in any of our surface textures and colors.


Cupola

Architectural domes can be used for interior or exterior applications, with a smooth finish on the inside or outside surface. Large exterior domes are designed and built in pie sections, with an internal flange at the seams (similar to a pipe flange), this adds great strength and allows for easy shipping and installation. Domes may be designed to incorporate a clear skylight at the apex.
